Love the website and your joie de vivre. Nice places and photos. I'm a barefoot runner but haven't been able to get out to the beautiful wild places so I enjoyed traveling there virtually with your site...

To tell you the truth I was focused on getting to the finish line before the cut off mark. Push the pain down, go faster. After the race is when I was pondering shoes. I pondered a huaraches, but the knot gives me a pain under my big toes. I thinking about getting some Dopie sandals to see if they are stiff enough. But the biggest preponderance was a pair of modified coral booties. like these: http://www.oneill.com/#/men/americacanada/collection/men/wetsuits/surf/boots_hoods_gloves/superfreak_tropical_st_boot/grey/

I do not think there is a true minimalist running shoe that would work for me. I am in contact with a few companies about some minimal shoes that are in the works. I will post information about them when I get more information.

Regards,

Michael Carroll

congratulations! What an accomplishment! I hope to be where you are now one day.

I'm curious about the following: If the FiveFingers were the wrong shoes as you crossed the finish line, which ones were you thinking of at that time, the ones you wished you had instead?
